The Decision

Well I said two weeks ago that I would make a decision as to whether or not I would start looking on online dating sites for 'that special someone'.  My decision is....

No.  At least not now. I'm gonna wait it out.  I'd rather wait and see what life has in store for me right now.  I enjoy the idea of meeting this person one day out of the blue rather than searching through some website using predefined criteria.  At this moment in time I believe that it's more fun and spontaneous this way.  I like the idea of things falling into place more than I do the idea of forcing something.  I read once "Love cannot be forced; love cannot be coaxed and teased.
It comes out of heaven unasked and unsought." ~Pearl S. Buck.  (And yes I love quotations I put together a whole site of them http://www.ubiquitousdestiny.com/proverbs.html )

For now I am content to see where life takes me.  If someday in the future I feel like this isn't working for me anymore than maybe I'll pursue the internet route.

I had a great morning today.  My friend Karen (whose shower I was at this week-end) came in yesterday for a course.  She is staying at the hotel across the street from my office.  Last night we went out for dinner at the Mandarin and she invited me to stay overnight at the hotel with her. Breakfast was included with her room so we had breakfast delivered to us on a table this morning. It was pretty upscale.  I had scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, croissant, orange juice and tea for breakfast.  It was quite nice.  It even came with two mini ketchup bottles. It was fun!  I'd like breakfast like that every morning. The next best thing was being able to walk across the street to get to work this morning.

I read metro this morning and I found out the Word on the Street Festival is on Sunday.  How I love books!  I hope I can get time to go. The weather this week-end isn't supposed to be good though.  I guess we'll see how it all pans out.
